At the beginning of the school year, the Peer Team went through a three day training with the Massachusetts Anti-Defamation League (ADL). During these informational lessons, we learned about recognizing implicit biases, preventing bullying, and exclusion. Focusing on prejudices such as racism, sexism, homophobia, and many other forms, we learned how to promote understanding and acceptance of differences in our school and the community. In our weekly 7th Grade group meetings and biweekly 8th Grade group meetings, we implement activities covering these many topics.
