On Friday May 3rd, the Peer Team coordinated for students to come meet some very cute service dogs outside the cafeteria! The dogs came to help relieve any stress or simply to make someone's day a little better, and they did a great job! Check out the pictures below!(click on one of them to enlarge it)

Lauren Jacobbe, a senior member of Peer Team, elaborated on her original program from last year called Inside Out Day, and coordinated an ENTIRE week focused on body positivity and self confidence. The second annual Inside Out Day took place at the end of this week!

On Friday, Peer Team helped chaperone the middle school dance. The theme of the dance was decades. Students came to the dance dressed up with attire from past decades as well as future decades. Thank you to everyone who helped out, and thank you to everyone who came to the dance!

As a part of kindness month, we put together a compliment booth. During lunch A and lunch B, we handed out madlib compliments. We asked the students to give us a noun, adjective, famous person, or even a teacher. Once the students got their appropriate compliment, they had to find somebody to give the compliment to. On the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, Peer Team put on an event for seniors about stress management. Ms. Pardalis-Johnson came to talk to the group about how to manage stress and anxiety. She reminded students of the bigger picture in life and taught them how to make decisions to improves one's life.

The Start With Hello movement was created by the Sandy Hook Promise organization. It's goal is to cultivate social inclusion in schools around the country and promote unity in communities. Every year Peer Team puts on a new student breakfast to welcome the new students from grades 8-12! This year we enjoyed getting to know the students while eating a delicious breakfast during second period. One of the best parts of the breakfast was the homemade pancakes made by peer team member James Hetherington.
